I took a road trip one morning in May to Austin, Texas, COVID had been extremely difficult, and I hadn't made music in months.

On the way, I thought about my partner, who I hadn't seen due to quarantine and kept repeating to myself, "dame tu amor" until it finally clicked.

This song is about learning to live without your love along your side in times like these. (En los noches me quedo solo/In the nights I sleep alone), it's a lesson in life we have to learn, but it doesn't mean it won't hurt.
